MOC: Average finished steel price in China edges down

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (August 29-September 4) the overall average finished steel price in China moved down slightly week on week.
 
In the given week, average prices of rebar and high-speed wire rod both decreased by 0.4 percent, while average prices of cold rolled sheet, hot dip galvanized (HDG) and hot rolled strip in China rose by 0.7 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent, all week on week, respectively.
 
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.6 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) rose by 0.8 percent compared to the previous week.
 
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of coking coal, anthracite coal and thermal coal  increased by 0.4 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent week on week, respectively.
