China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (July 25-31) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.4 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, channels and hot rolled strip in China rose by 0.5 percent, 0.7 percent and 0.7 percent week on week, respectively.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 0.5 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) declined by 0.8 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of thermal coal and coking coal rose by 0.2 percent and decreased by 0.4 percent week on week, respectively, while the average price of anthracite coal remained stable week on week.
