MOC: Average finished steel price in China up eight percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (March 7-13) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by eight percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of common high-speed wire rod, rebar, hot rolled sheet, and common medium plate in China moved up by 9.1 percent, 8.9 percent, 8.7 percent and 8.2 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.5 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 0.6 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of both anthracite coal and coking coal decreased by 0.3 percent week on week, while thermal coal prices remained stable compared to the previous week.
