MOC: Average steel prices in China edge up slightly during July 17-23

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during the July 17-23 period this year the overall average finished steel price in China edged up slightly.

In the given period, the average prices of hot rolled steel strip, high-speed wire rod and rebar moved up by 0.9 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent, week on week, respectively.

In the same period, the average prices of thermal coal and coking coal increased by 1.1 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively, though the average price of smoke-free lump coal edged down by 0.2 percent, all week on week.
