MOC: Average steel prices in China indicate a downtrend during August 14-20

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during the August 14-20 period this year the overall average finished steel prices in China indicated a downtrend.

In the given period, the average prices of rebar, high-speed wire rod and common medium plate moved down by 0.3 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.4 percent, week on week, respectively.       

In the same period, the average prices of thermal coal declined by 0.4 percent, while prices of coking coal rose by 0.1 percent, though prices of smoke-free lump coal remained stable, week on week, respectively.
