NBS: Local Chinese rebar prices down 2.3 percent in late June

In late June (June 21-30) this year, the average price in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar decreased by RMB 83.7/mt ($12/mt) or 2.3 percent to RMB 3,505.4/mt ($492/mt), compared to the price in mid-June (June 11-20), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.

In the given period, the average prices of wire rod, medium plate, hot rolled coil (HRC), seamless steel pipes and angles decreased by 2.2 percent, 2.1 percent, 1.2 percent, 0.7 percent and 2.2 percent, respectively, all compared to mid-June.
