Peruvian steelmaker Siderperu, controlled by the Brazilian Gerdau group, posted a net profit of PEN 46 million ($12 million) for Q3 2023, 4.9 percent more than in Q3 2022.
Under the same comparative basis, gross sales declined by 13.2 percent to PEN 590 million, production costs declined by 8.6 percent to PEN 537 million, while gross profit declined by 42.4 percent to PEN 53 million and the EBITDA declined by 41.9 percent to PEN 54 million.
The company said the reduction reflects lower average unit price of the products sold, which were in part compensated by a larger volume of sales.
