New iron ore deposit discovered in Qian’an, Hebei

The bureau of geology and mineral resources in the northeastern Chinese province of Hebei has lately reported breakthrough progress in the mining census carried out in Qian’an city in the province. A new iron ore deposit of three kilometers in length, 20 meters in thickness and 10-15 meters in depth has been discovered. With average iron content in excess of 30 percent, the new deposit has known iron ore reserves of over 200 million mt.
