In its financial results according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for the first half of the current year, Russian steelmaker NLMK Group recorded a net profit of $665 million compared to a net profit of $241 million in the same period of 2016. The company's sales revenues amounted to $4.69 billion, up 36 percent year on year, driven by the year-on-year growth in steel product prices.
In the first half this year, NLMK Group's EBITDA was $1.22 billion, rising from an EBITDA of $749 million in the first half of the previous year. The company’s EBITDA margin in the given period increased to 26 percent compared to 22 percent in the same period of 2016.
