The Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has announced that it has commenced the reconstruction of its lime rotary kiln dedusting systems in its refractory shop.
The environmental project in question is part of the second phase of NLMK's technical upgrade program, and will allow the company to reduce dust in gases released by its processing facilities by up to two times. Total investments in the new project will amount to more than Ruble 660 million (about $21 million).
NLMK has already finished the reconstruction of two out of its seven scheduled lime rotary kiln electrostatic precipitators which have a daily capacity of 450 tons each.
