In the January-April period this year, non-financial foreign direct investment (FDI) by Chinese companies totaled RMB 391.45 billion ($60.08 billion), up 71.8 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) on May 16.
In the January-April period this year, 1,401 foreign projects were contracted by Chinese companies in 60 countries along the One Belt, One Road area, with a value of $31.12 billion, up 58.9 percent year on year, accounting for 53 percent of the total value of new foreign projects contracted by Chinese companies in the given period.
