Northwest Pipe receives $7 million pipe supply order

Vancouver, Washington, US-based welded steel pipe producer Northwest Pipe Company (Northwest Pipe) has announced the receipt of a letter of intent from Slayden Construction Group of Stayton, Oregon for the supply of pipes for the Juniper Ridge Hydroelectric Power project. The value of the order is estimated at approximately $7 million.

Under the scope of the contract, Northwest Pipe is to supply approximately 14,000 feet of 108-inch steel pipe for an engineered and custom fabricated piping system. The pipes will be produced at Northwest Pipe's Portland, Oregon facility, while the shipments are scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2009.

The 3.27 megawatt Juniper Ridge Hydro project is part of the Central Oregon Irrigation District's 22 mile Pilot Butte Canal.
