Nufab Rebar to invest $6.9 million to build new plant in Alabama

Thursday, 19 April 2012 01:27:22 (GMT+3)   |

Rebar fabricator Nufab Rebar LLC has been granted a $1 million industrial access grant from the Alabama Industrial Access Road & Bridge Program for its planned $6.9 million investment in a new plant in Riverside, St. Clair County, Alabama. The grant will pay for infrastructure improvements that will give Nufab access to the railroad.

The fabrication plant will hire about 50 employees within the first three years, for which the St. Clair County Economic Development Council has granted the company tax abatements.

Nufab is a subsidiary of Harris Steel, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nucor Corporation.
