OMK continues deliveries of LD pipes for Rosneft’s Vankor oil and gas field

The Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has announced that it continues the deliveries of large diameter (LD) pipes for the leading company in the Russian petroleum industry Rosneft for the construction of trunk oil pipeline from the Vankor oil and gas field located in Eastern Siberia.

Currently, OMK is delivering to Rosneft X56 pipes of 530 mm in diameter, with wall thickness of 14 mm.

In 2008-early 2009, OMK supplied for Rosneft's Vankor oil and gas field about 19,000 mt of LD pipes of such dimension, while in 2006-2007, the company delivered 46,000 mt of LD pipes of 820 mm in diameter and with wall thickness of 12 mm and 14 mm. Within the framework of the contract with Rosneft, for the development of its Vankor field OMK delivered a total of 70,000 mt of LD pipes.
