OMK issues July production data for subsidiaries

The Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has announced the July production results of its subsidiaries Tatarstan-based Almetyevsk Pipe Plant (ATZ), Nizhni Novgorod-based pipe producer Vyksa Steel Works (Vyksa) and Perm region-based Gubakha Coke.

Accordingly, in July ATZ's total pipe production amounted to 15,098 mt - up 13 percent compared to July 2008, while its shipments amounted to 16,079 mt, showing a 23 percent increase year on year and constituting the company's highest monthly shipment figure of the last ten years.

In July Vyksa produced 117,184 mt of pipes; this figure included 74,975 mt of large diameter pipes, up 27.4 percent compared to July 2008. The company's output of pipes for the first seven months of 2009 amounted to 847,260 mt; this included 538,637 mt of large diameter pipes, up 28 percent year on year.

Gubakha Coke's output of coke in July amounted to 28,200 mt, showing an increase of 11,200 mt year on year, i.e. up 165 percent.
