OMK’s ATZ develops new profile pipe sizes

The Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has announced that its Tatarstan-based Almetyevsk Pipe Plant (ATZ) has mastered the production of 15 x 15 mm profile pipes of 1.55 mm wall thickness at its mill 10-65.

In addition, in the third quarter of 2009 ATZ plans to develop production of 140 x 60 mm profile pipes of 3-5 mm wall thickness and of GOST 30245-2003 and GOST 13663-86 standards.

ATZ commenced its production of profile pipes in 2001 and to date has developed a total of 31 sizes of this product with perimeters from 60 mm to 720 mm.
