ThyssenKrupp Companhia Siderurgica do Atlantico (CSA), a slab mill owned by steelmaker ThyssenKrupp and Brazil's Vale, said Wednesday that there is a delay in receiving a final operational permit due in part to political problems.

Currently, the CSA mill is working under a "pre-operational" license, which will expire in September 2012. An independent audit and investigation is needed before the mill can receive a final permit.
