Finland-based stainless steel producer Outokumpu has announced that it has partnered with steel and aluminum service center Thyssenkrupp Materials Processing Europe to reduce carbon emissions in the automotive industry.

Accordingly, Thyssenkrupp Materials Processing Europe is to supply Outokumpu Circle Green to Purem by Eberspächer, a specialist in exhaust technology and acoustic solutions. The company in question will be the first company to use Outokumpu’s first “green” stainless steel. Circle Green will help the auto industry to lower carbon emissions from vehicle production.

Purem by Eberspächer is a global supplier to all automotive producers. The company expects to achieve carbon-neutral production by 2030.
