Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports down 10.3% in Oct from Sept

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 297,652 mt in October this year, decreasing by 10.3 percent compared to September and down 25.47 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in October was $105.01 million, declining by 11.97 percent month on month and down 13.7 year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in October amounted to 390,788 mt, up 49.2 percent on year-on-year basis and rising by 50.8 percent compared to the previous month. In October this year, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $254.76 million, increasing by 39.7 percent year on year and up by 44.6 percent month on month.
