In June this year, production and sales of passenger vehicles in China totaled 2.507 million units and 2.552 million units, down 2.1 percent and 2.7 percent month on month, while increasing by 15.2 percent and 10.5 percent year on year, respectively, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the first six months of the year, production and sales of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 13.891 million units and 14.047 million units, up 4.9 percent and 6.1 percent year on year.
In June, production and sales of commercial vehicles amounted to 330,000 units and 337,000 units, up 2.8 percent and down 1.2 percent month on month, while decreasing by 3.5 percent and 4.9 percent year on year, respectively.
In the first six months, production and sales of commercial vehicles in China amounted to 2.005 million units and 2.068 million units, up 2.0 percent and 4.9 percent year on year, respectively.
