Producer prices in French industry up 0.3 percent in May from April

In May this year, producer prices in French industry were up 0.3 percent month on month, according to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). Producer prices for manufactured products in France increased by 0.5 percent in May compared to April and were down 3.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
 
In May this year, prices for exported manufactured products rose by 0.3 percent and prices of exported transport equipment increased by 0.1 percent, both month on month. On year-on-year basis, in May prices of exported manufactured products fell 2.9 percent, while prices of exported transport equipment saw 0.6 percent growth. 
 
Meanwhile, import prices for manufactured products in France in May increased by 0.5 percent compared to April and were down 4.1 percent compared to the same month of 2015.
