On June 15, ArcelorMittal Hunedoara, Romania-based subsidiary of the world's largest integrated metals and mining company ArcelorMittal, restarted its operations after about one month of stoppage caused by the lack of orders.

According to ArcelorMittal Hunedoara's general manager Remus Patan, the plant has received orders for at least three weeks and hopes to receive others in order to continue operations.

ArcelorMittal Hunedoara was forced to temporarily halt operations on May 18, 2009 for the third time over the previous seven months due to lack of orders caused by the world economic downturn.
