Romania-based Liberty Galati, subsidiary of UK-based steelmaker Liberty Steel Group, has announced that it has installed a new state-of-the-art pipe coating line at its Liberty Tubular Products Galati plant, extending its high value-added product portfolio.

The new line, built with an investment of more than RON 40 million ($8.87 million), is in its production testing phase and will have an annual production capacity of 100,000 mt.

The company will produce coated pipes from its own plates and will be able to coat external and internal surfaces of pipes, which can be used in transmission lines for oil, natural gas, water or other fluids.
