Russian quota utilization for Ukraine

According to the information issued by the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy, up to September 1 this year Ukraine utilized 16.56 percent of its annual quota for rebar exports to Russia and 24.79 percent of its new annual quota for cold rolled steel exports to the same destination, supplying a total of 60,117 metric tons and 52,057 metric tons respectively.

According to the agreement signed between Russia and Ukraine, Ukraine's yearly quota for cold rolled exports to Russia stands at 210,000 metric tons for the 12 months from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010 - up 5,000 mt compared to the previous annual quota. In August this year, Ukraine did not supply any cold rolled steel products to Russia.

Meanwhile, also according to the agreement between the countries, the yearly quota for Ukraine regarding rebar exports to Russia is 363,000 metric tons for 2009.
