Russia’s Kuzbassrazrezugol issues Jan-July operational results

Russian coal mining company Kuzbassrazrezugol, a subsidiary of Russian Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC), has issued its operational results for July and for the first seven months of 2009.

Accordingly, in July 2009 Kuzbassrazrezugol has fulfilled its production plan for the month by 101 percent, producing 4.07 million of coal, including 245,900 mt of coking coal. Meanwhile, since the beginning of the current year, Kuzbassrazrezugol's coal output amounted to 25.896 million mt - down nine percent year on year, including 1.354 million mt of coking coal - down 57 percent year on year.

In January-July 2009, Kuzbassrazrezugol's deliveries of coking coal amounted to 1.568 million mt - down 50.4 percent compared to the same period last year.

In 2009, Kuzbassrazrezugol plans to produce a total of 46 million mt of coal, including 1.998 million mt of coking coal.
