In July this year, Russia’s stainless steel imports totaled 43,880 mt, up by 4.6 percent compared to the previous month and by 39.1 percent year on year according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.
In the given month, in terms of volume, Russia’s imports of stainless cold rolled steel, stainless hot rolled steel, stainless long steel, stainless welded pipes and stainless wire decreased by 5.0 percent, 21.6 percent, 25.3 percent, 22.4 percent and 29.9 percent month on month respectively. On the other hand, stainless seamless pipes grew by 38.4 percent month on month.
