Russia’s stainless steel product consumption up 18.8% in Jan-Sept

Russia’s consumption of stainless steel products in the January-September period of this year increased by 18.8 percent year on year to 291,200 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association. 
 
During the first nine months of the current year, in Russia the total consumption volume of flat rolled stainless steel products increased by 26.7 percent, while consumption of stainless steel long products rose by 7.3 percent and consumption of electric welded stainless steel pipes went up by 17.1 percent, all year on year.
