Scrap declines further on Orbis Steel Index

In the week from June 13 to June 19, on the Orbis Steel Index the scrap indexes moved downwards. In the given week, the Turkish rebar index moved up, while the Turkish flat rolled indexes indicated downward movement.
 
As per the Orbis Steel Index data, the index movements in the week from June 13 to June 19 as per product are as follows:
 
Turkish Scrap Index continued its downward trend. The index value decreased by 0.51 percent week on week to 91.52.
   
US (East Coast) HMS I/II Scrap Export Index declined by 1.12 percent to 103.76 compared to the previous week. 
                                                                  
Turkish Rebar Index switched to upward movement, with the index value rising by 1.92 percent week on week to 95.2.  
 
Turkish HRC Index decreased in the given week, with the index value falling by 3.39 percent week on week to 73.57. 
 
Black Sea HRC Export Index started to move downwards, with the index value falling 7.53 percent week on week to 73.58.
 
Turkish HDG Index maintained its declining movement, with the index value moving down by 2.39 percent to 2.39.  
 
Turkish CRC Index switched to downward movement, with the index value decreasing by 3.28 percent week on week to 80.82.  
 
*Explanations:
 
Turkish Scrap Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of domestic ferrous scrap purchased weekly by Turkish steel mills, and imported HMS 80/20 CFR Turkey.
 
Turkish Rebar Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of commercial quality deformed steel reinforcing bars produced and sold by Turkish mills and subsequently merchants, both in the domestic market on ex-warehouse basis and for export on FOB Turkey basis.
 
Turkish HRC Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of commercial quality HRC produced or imported, and then sold by Turkish mills on ex-warehouse basis.
