Since the beginning of the year, the Russian steel producer Severstal has raised the amount of its steel product exports to the world market to 50-60 percent of its overall production, due to the increase in demand for rolled steel products in Southeast Asian countries and in China, the company's sales director Dmitry Goroshkov has stated. In 2008 the share of Severstal's steel product exports of total output did not exceed 35 percent.

In addition, Mr. Goroshkov said that Severstal is ready to increase its deliveries to domestic automobile producers and suppliers of auto components for Russian and foreign companies.
