Shagang Group starts building ultra-thin cast sheet production line

Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steel producer Shagang Group has announced that it has started construction of the first industrial ultra-thin cast sheet production line in China.
 
US-based Castrip LLC has been committed to the development and promotion of ultra-thin cast sheet technology all over the world and has chosen Shagang Group as its strategic partner in China. Shagang Group’s ultra-thin cast sheet production line will be the first such production line built outside of North America. It will be able to produce hot rolled sheet with maximum widths up to 1,590 mm and with thicknesses in a range of 0.7-1.9 mm.
