Hannibal Pipes SA, a Castilla-La Mancha, Spain-based manufacturer of SAW spiral welded steel pipes for water, oil and gas, solar, piling and infrastructure applications, announced Monday that it has installed a new production line for the manufacture of small/medium diameter SAW spiral welded pipe. The new line marks the company's second step of investment after initially beginning production last May.

The line will mainly supply pipes serving as Center Pipes for CSP--Concentrated Solar Power projects.

The new production line, already under installation, is expected to be commissioned within the current quarter and to start production by January 2012, adding around 20,000 metric tons per year to the existing installed capacity of 90,000 metric tons a year.
