Steelmakers in Hebei see strong rise in gross profit in January-April

In the January-April period of the current year, steelmakers in China’s Hebei Province recorded an aggregate gross profit of RMB 9.351 billion ($1.43 billion), up 250.99 percent year on year, accounting for 13.96 percent of the aggregate gross profit of overall industry in Hebei Province, according to the Hebei Metallurgical Industry Association. 

Meanwhile, in the given period overall value-added industrial output in the Hebei steel sector amounted to RMB 60.206 billion ($9.18 billion), rising by 2.24 percent year on year.
