In March this year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports decreased by 18.1 percent year on year to $1.17 billion, according to the preliminary statistics issued by Taiwan's Ministry of Finance. In the given month, the country's iron and steel import value totaled $663 million, down 28.9 percent year on year.
In the first three months of the current year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports declined 21.9 percent to $3.19 billion, while the value of the country's imports of iron and steel totaled $1.69 billion, decreasing by 36.1 percent, both on year-on year basis.
