Taiwan’s rebar exports up 32 percent in March from February

In March this year, Taiwan’s rebar exports increased by 32 percent to 8,314 mt compared to February, with the exports mainly going to to Australia and South Korea, according to data issued by the Taiwanese customs authorities. The country’s rebar exports to Australia in the given month totaled 7,740 mt, while exports to South Korea totaled 477 mt.
 
In the same month, Taiwan’s wide flange beam exports totaled 20,595 mt, increasing by 25 percent month on month. The exports mainly went to Hong Kong, Australia, the US and Singapore.
 
Meanwhile, Taiwan exported 10,829 mt of hot rolled plate in March, rising by 39 percent, while in the same month the country’s hot rolled plate imports increased by 21 percent to 22,705 mt, both on month-on-month basis.
