Tata Steel to invest in its Dutch operations

Indian steel giant Tata Steel is planning to invest hundreds of millions of euro to the modernization of its IJmuiden steelworks in the Netherlands, according to Dutch media sources. The company is also considering other possible efficiency measures.

The investments reportedly include the building of a production line to produce stronger but lighter and thinner steel for the automotive industry. The new line will take three years to complete and will cost €200 million.
