Tenaris cuts Arkansas pipe plant workforce by 100

Tuesday, 12 July 2016 23:39:50 (GMT+3)   |   San Diego

Local media reported that Tenaris has laid off about 100 employees at its welded pipe mill in Blytheville, Arkansas due to "continued downturn in the oil and gas sector."

In a statement, Tenaris said it will continue to "monitor the market conditions, and align its workforce and production levels as needed."

Tenaris also announced in January that it had laid off about 100 employees at the same location, also attributed to falling oil prices and the continued reduction of drilling activity.
