The Art has resigned from The Steel - Guillermo Maclean leaves Villacero Foundation

After serving Villacero Group for ten years, Guillermo Maclean has resigned from his position as Director of Villacero Foundation and Director of Afirme Gallery of Villacero Group.

Guillermo Mac Lean was responsible for melting the Steel and the Art promoting several international art exhibitions exclusively using steel as material. This initiative extends to the world the significance of the steel for the development of humanity and its influence in creativeness. 

MacLean organized more than 25 exhibitions in different countries, including IREPAS and ALACERO Congresses. Furthermore, he was responsible for the exhibition “Juan Pablo II” in Mexico, which was accomplished in conjunction with The Vatican. Additionally, he was liable to identify and promote more than hundred of international artists from 27 countries who work with Steel.

Guillermo Maclean is also a writer internationally awarded with the Literature Prize “Badajoz” (Spain 2009) and a renowned sculptor with more than forty exhibitions around the world. He was the winner of the “Réussites du Aneé 80” (Montreal 1985), the “Creativity 85” award (New York 1985), the “Prix du Mérite 86” (Montreal), and "Maestros Consagrados" award at the Metropolitan Museum of Buenos Aires (2010). Even more, MacLean has published two books of photography, has written four novels and its fifth is currently in process. 

Responding to our telephone call, Mr. Maclean has confirmed that he resigned by the June 1st, but he will continue to be active and contribute with his vast talent to the steel sector from his new residence in Canada.
