Monday, 16 October 2023 11:33:00 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

German steelmaker Thyssenkrupp has announced that it has installed a micro steam turbine on the roof of the heating plant in Duisburg.

The turbine will annually generate around 1,800 MWh of electricity by using steelmaking steam.

The micro steam turbine generates electricity cost-effectively and in a way that reduces resource consumption; it thus allows the efficient use of energy during steel production as well as the reduction of carbon emissions.
