Global news sources, including Brazilian business newspaper Valor Economico, reported Tuesday that German steel giant ThyssenKrupp AG is looking for non-binding offers on its Steel Americas plants, located in the US and Brazil, by September 28.

Valor Economico indicated that already 10 different groups, including other Brazilian and global steelmakers, have expressed interest in the CSA slab mill in Brazil and flat rolled steel rolling mill in Calvert, Alabama. ThyssenKrupp announced earlier this year that it is exploring different options for its steel plants, including a sale of the assets entirely.
