ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG, a part of Germany-based steelmaker ThyssenKrupp, plans to construct a new vertical hot-dip galvanizing line at its Dortmund plant in Germany in order to increase its steel supply to the European automotive market, as announced by the Official Gazette of the District Government of Arnsberg.

Accordingly, with the new line, the company plans to increase its crude steel production to 1.3 million mt per year from 700,000 mt per year. The new line is scheduled to start operations in the fourth quarter of 2020.
