German steelmaker Thyssenkrupp has announced that it will shut down the casting and rolling line at its Bruckhausen plant, which was commissioned 25 years ago and is no longer capable of meeting future customer quality requirements. The shutdown will take place in mid-November this year.

A continuous casting line with a modern hot strip mill which will replace the existing casting and rolling line will be commissioned from mid-May 2025. The pre-assembly of various plant components has already begun.
