The Russian pipe producer TMK has announced that its TMK Oilfield Services division has mastered the high-tech production of tubing of E strength grade with 73 mm in diameter and 5.5 mm wall thickness, and that in Q1 2009 it started deliveries of the new tubing to Russia's largest oil company, state-owned Rosneft.

Tubing for Rosneft was produced at TMK Central Pipe Yard's new tubing line. The new lines completed the cutting operations for threaded connections, hydro-testing, as well as the work for branding, marking and packaging the tubes. Thus, Rosneft was provided with comprehensive services for production and delivery of high-tech pipe products used for the overhaul of wells in the region of oil production.

"The development of new high-tech production of pipes allows TMK to improve the efficiency of its service areas, and creates conditions for the development of long-term relationships with customers," TMK Oilfield Services general director Sergey Agafonov stated.
