Tulachermet restarts BF No. 3, orders new loader

Russian pig iron producer Tulachermet has announced the recommissioning of its blast furnace (BF) No. 3, after the completion of overhaul work.

The overhaul, which was carried out during seven days, included the repair of the furnace's main equipment. 

Meanwhile, Tulachermet has ordered a new loader from Japanese mining equipment manufacturer Komatsu. The value of the new loader Komatsu WA 420 amounts to Ruble 5.7 million (about $189 million). Currently, Tulachermet has five loaders, of Russian, Belarusian and Polish production.
