Turkey cancels customs duties on 1,882 raw materials

The Turkish Ministry of Economy has announced that it has decided to cancel customs duties on 1,882 raw materials which are not produced in Turkey and are used in industries like chemicals, textiles, iron and steel, and electrical goods and electronics, with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of local producers in the international markets by providing them with low-cost raw materials.

The mentioned raw materials include certain pig iron ingots which currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7201.10.11 and 7201.10.30.
