Meanwhile, in the first four months of 2012 Turkey's steel billet exports declined by 18 percent to 656,147 metric tons, while the revenue for these exports stood at $403.2 million, down by 16 percent, both compared to the same period of 2011.
In the first four months of this year, Turkey more than doubled its steel billet exports to Saudi Arabia, while the country's steel billet exports to Iran and to UAE decreased by 42 percent and 78.4 percent respectively, all compared to the first four months of 2011.
