Turkey’s Atakaş starts HDG sales in July

Turkey-based Atakas Group started to sell hot dip galvanized (HDG) coils in the Turkish domestic market in July, according to market sources.
 
In early summer, the Turkish steelmaker produced its first coil at its new continuous pickling line in its cold rolled steel production facility. This new line processes strip in thicknesses of 1.5 mm to 5 mm and widths of 600 mm to 1,550 mm. 
 
In 2014, Atakaş started investment in a cold rolled steel production facility, with a designed annual output capacity of 1.2 million mt.
