Turkey’s basic metal turnover down 2.9 percent in May from April

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in May this year Turkey’s monthly industrial turnover index rose by 1.5 percent compared to the previous month, while the calendar adjusted index was up by 60.4 percent compared to May 2023.

In the given month, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey decreased by 2.9 percent month on month and increased by 51.8 percent year on year.

The industrial turnover index for fabricated metal product manufacturing in May moved up by 1.8 percent month on month and grew by 45.4 percent year on year.
