Turkey-based BMS Birleşik Metal Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (BMS) has announced that its steel wire sales in the first half of this year decreased by 0.6 percent year on year to 24,104 mt. In the given period, the company’s zinc-aluminum coated steel wire sales increased by 88 percent year on year to 2,424 mt.

BMS stated that, despite the stagnation in the global steel market, it continues to produce at high capacity and is looking for export opportunities.

In June this year, the company’s galvanized steel wire sales amounted to 2,982 mt and its zinc-aluminum coated steel wire sales totaled 514 mt. In the given month, 84.7 percent of the company’s total sales were made abroad.
