Turkey-based Erciyas Çelik Boru Sanayi A.Ş. has announced that it has suspended production in Düzce and Mersin plants due to the strike decision taken by the United Metal Workers Union on January 31. The decision was made after the parties could not reach a compromise regarding collective labor contract negotiations.

The company reported that sales from stocks will not be affected by the strike. Production is anticipated to restart when the strike ends.
