In May this year, Turkey’s total hot rolled coil (HRC) exports rose by 25.8 percent compared to April and declined by 39.8 percent year on year to 83,336 mt, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $63.54 million, up by 28.7 percent month on month and down by 56.7 percent compared to the same month of 2022.
In the January-May period of this year, Turkey’s HRC exports amounted to 408,430 mt, down 32.8 percent, while the value of these exports dropped by 47.6 percent to $303.14 billion, both compared to the same period of 2022.
